You probably already know that plain old yogurt can do wonders for your looks. All you have to do is smooth it on, and it’ll help make your skin softer, smoother, and a lot more youthful. But did you know that yogurt’s revitalizing properties can also make your hair look richer and more radiant?
How you use it depends on your natural hair color:
FOR BRUNETTES. Mix ½ cup of plain yogurt, ½ cup of cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon of honey, and 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to form a smooth paste. Apply the mixture to your freshly shampooed hair, and leave it on for two to three minutes. Then rinse and style as usual.
FOR REDHEADS. In a blender or food processor, mix 3 tablespoons of plain yogurt, 2 tablespoons of honey, and three medium-size chopped carrots (or ½ cup of cranberries if you want copper undertones) to get a coarse paste. After shampooing, work the mixture through your hair. Leave it on for one to two minutes, and then rinse it out. Follow up with your usual styling routine.
FOR BLONDES. Stir 2 tablespoons of lemon juice into a cup of plain yogurt and work the concoction through your hair. Leave it on for 30 minutes and then rinse it off before shampooing and styling as usual.
